KURUNJANG Rebels or West Melton will be out of the Macedon Ranges Tennis Association on Saturday as the third and fourth-placed teams square off in the section one elimination final.
Kurunjang Rebels finished third with 99.5 points, well ahead of West Melton in fourth on 63.5 points.
But leading West Melton player Brett Carter has made enough late-season appearances to qualify for finals, potentially narrowing the gap between the teams a 36-point difference on the ladder may suggest.
Kurunjang's Scott Nielsen said: "They got up by just two games last time we played.
"We had fill-ins on that day so we're looking forward to seeing how it goes this time."
Nielsen's teammates for Kurunjang men will be Terry Love and David Kershaw, while Melissa Nielsen, Michelle Kershaw and Leanne Carey are in the women's team.
MRTA summer competition matches are all doubles contests with three men and three women a team, playing nine sets for the day.
South Gisborne enters the finals series a clear leader on top of the ladder with 131.5 points to second-placed Macedon Batman's 112.
The loser of the match between South Gisborne and Macedon Batman will play the winner of Kurunjang Rebels and West Melton in the preliminary final.
All matches are to be played on synthetic grass this weekend with all divisions starting at 1.30pm and section one playing at Gisborne Tennis Club.
Section two finals will be played at South Gisborne, with Sunbury playing Melton South and Gisborne facing South Gisborne.
Section three finals is at New Gisborne Tennis Club, with Gisborne taking on Romsey and Woodend facing Mt Carmel.
