Jacynda's dancing on air

16 Mar, 2010 03:00 AM
A LITTLE girl's wish to see her TV idol has been granted with a visit from So You Think You Can Dance contestant Mikhaela Gregory.

Pentland Primary School pupil Jacynda wrote a letter to Mikhaela, asking the national dance competition contestant to visit the school.

Mikhaela's two cousins, Chloe and Haylea, also attend the school and helped convince the dancer to pop in and say hello to pupils last week.

Acting assistant principal Sue Collinson said everyone was excited as a lot of students were fans of the show.

"I think it's a great opportunity to have a role model like her to visit the school. "Mikhaela promotes all the things we encourage like achieving your goals and having a go."

The 20-year-old Werribee resident has been dancing for 17 years, studying the jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, acrobatics, tap and Latin styles.

She was selected in the show's top 20 but has been knocked out of the competition.
