John Esekia (pictured) who lives with relatives at Stewart Crescent, was reported missing to police last Friday and was last seen at Altona Beach on January 2.

Police said the boy has not been in contact with family or friends and may be frequenting the Sunshine area.

Police are appealing for members of the public to look out for the boy who is described as 180cm tall, thin, brown eyes and has black hair.

He was wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans and black and white runners when he was last seen.

Investigators have released an image of John.
