Governor calls

16 Mar, 2010 03:00 AM
VICTORIAN Governor David de Kretser and his wife Jan visited Moorabool Shire last week.

The couple toured Ballan's recently completed GP Super Clinic and Gordon Primary School (right) before attending a civic reception for volunteers at St Anne's Winery. Ballan District Health and Care chief executive Glenn Rowbotham said the Governor unveiled a donor recognition board at the hospital. "It was a fantastic visit and fitting for Professor de Kretser to be part of the official ceremony because he is a patron-in-chief of Ballan Super Clinic."

It was the Governor's second visit to Ballan hospital; he attended its 40-year anniversary dinner in 2006. Professor and Mrs de Kretser also met with councillors and senior council staff.
