Harry Houdini takes flight near Diggers Rest 100 years ago.
05 Mar 10  On the morning of March 18, 1910, Houdini kissed his wife Bess, climbed into his Voisin, took off and flew at a height of 30metres (100 feet) for three minutes. Houdini was a master showman and, knowing the value of publicity, the momentous event was photographed, recorded on motion picture cameras and reported.
